Conferencing for Postgraduate Recruitment Professionals: The What, the Why & the How
There’s less than a month to go until our second Postgraduate Marketing Conference of 2023! The event will bring together leading professionals in postgraduate recruitment, who will offer unique perspectives and insights on the latest developments in the sector.
An exclusive, expert-led talks programme will be followed by an opportunity to network with fellow delegates, trade ideas and walk away with new contacts.
Who are our Marketing Conferences for?
The short answer is anyone working in postgraduate marketing or recruitment! It doesn’t matter if you’ve worked in the sector for ten months or ten years, or whether you focus solely on postgraduate study or you’re involved in undergraduate marketing too.
Attending a conference for the first time can be intimidating, especially if you’re relatively new to the sector. But your perspectives and experience will be valuable no matter your role or how long you’ve been in it.
What to expect on the day
Registration will open at 9:30am, and we’ll have a selection of refreshments ready for you on arrival. In the morning, we’ll have a programme of one-time-only talks, which are exclusive to this event and won’t be recorded!
Sessions include an exploration of how you can use the #WeAreInternational campaign to support international recruitment from the Associate Director Universities UK and Agency Director at Waterfall Agency. We’ll also be hosting a panel discussion with current and prospective postgraduate students. You’ll have an opportunity to catch up with speakers after the talks and ask any questions during our networking breaks.
Our interactive afternoon breakout sessions will be facilitated by experts and give you the opportunity to discuss your ideas in smaller groups, so you can share the highs and lows of postgraduate recruitment, and work together to solve some of the biggest questions in the sector. We’re offering a choice of four sessions, with topics ranging from AI use-cases in postgraduate research marketing to strategies for targeting current undergraduates and alumni. You’re sure to walk away with concrete ideas that you can implement in your role!
Finally, it’s time for our post-event drinks reception. Enjoy a complimentary beverage (or two) while you catch up with colleagues and make new contacts.
Asking your manager to attend a conference
Hopefully we’ve laid out enough of the benefits that you feel confident demonstrating to your manager why you should attend this conference! We hope that the networking opportunities and talks programme constitute enough of a value to your university or organisation, but to help close the deal, it’s worth remembering that our Marketing Conference is uniquely postgraduate focused. There is no other conference in the UK offering tailored advice and insights specifically for postgraduate marketers.
Make sure you’ve made a plan for the day, allowing for travel time (the venue is located directly behind King’s Cross station) and any extra associated costs. That way, you can demonstrate that you’ve already thought about the logistics as well as the opportunities.
To secure your place, just fill in our simple booking form, and a member of our Events Team will be in touch. If you’re looking to bring a colleague, you can save £50 when you book two tickets together. We’re excited to see you there!
