4 Ways to Make the Most of Our 2024 Marketing Conference

On Thursday 16 May, we’ll be back with our first Marketing Conference of 2024. The event is designed for marketing and recruitment professionals in the higher education sector, with a unique focus on postgraduate study.

The conference features exclusive talks from leading experts, covering the latest insights and case studies in the world of postgraduate recruitment. With plenty of networking opportunities throughout the day (don’t forget to stay for the post-event drinks reception) you’re bound to walk away with some new contacts as well as new ideas!

Whether you’re a Marketing Conference veteran or first-time attendee, a little preparation can go a long way to helping you get the most out of the day! We’ve put together four tips to help you do just that.

#1 Come armed with a plan

Obvious as it may sound, the easiest way to make sure you get everything you want out of our Marketing Conference is to prepare in advance.

A full schedule complete with speakers and timings for the day will go live soon - so watch this space!

Also consider whether there any speakers you’re particularly keen to grab on the side-lines between sessions, and if you have any burning questions for our panellists.

#2 Take notes

All our talks are exclusive to this conference and won’t be recorded, so the day itself will be your one and only chance to put pen to paper!

Don’t fret about scribbling down every essential – we will be providing access to all slides after the event. But any extra details, off-the-cuff insights from speakers, or your own rushes of inspiration (of which we’re sure you’ll have many!) are best jotted down then and there.

So whether it’s a tablet, laptop or good old-fashioned notepad, don’t forget to pack you note-taking tool of choice.

#3 Network, network, network

Our Marketing Conference gathers some of the UK’s pre-eminent postgraduate recruitment professionals in one place. There are plenty of chances to catch up with colleagues in-person and make some new connections, so dust off your business cards and be prepared to swap information!

This event is just our third in-person Marketing Conference since the Covid-19 pandemic, so we’re particularly excited to get those discussions going. There will be opportunities for networking in the breaks between sessions – and make sure you stick around for our post-talks drinks reception for yet more quality conversations (book that later train!).

#4 Get sharing

We’ll be creating a unique hashtag for the day to take the conversation online so make sure you’re following us on LinkedIn and Twitter to be part of it all!

You’ll also be able to tag our speakers using the social media handles we’ll provide in our on-the-day brochures, so make sure you connect after the event and keep the discussion going.

Tickets for our May 2024 Marketing Conference are now on sale. To secure your place, just fill in our quick booking form. We can’t wait to see you there!
