Our 2024 Winter Events Season: A Roundup
Last week, we wrapped up our 2024 Winter events season – and it’s been a good one! Almost 2,000 students attended our Postgrad LIVE study fairs across five different locations, and we hosted a total of 81 UK and nine international exhibitors. Here’s a quick roundup of how it went.
We kicked off in Liverpool on Tuesday 6 February at the University of Liverpool’s Student Guild. Over 400 prospective students braved the cold and rain to chat with exhibitors about their postgraduate prospects and attend our exclusive talks.
No rest for the wicked – the very next day we set up shop in The University of Manchester for our most-attended fair of the season, which attracted a whopping 531 students! It was our first time partnering with Manchester and safe to say, we’d love to do it again!
Our third event of the season took place on Wednesday 14 February at the University of Birmingham, where we gifted our first 50 arrivals every hour with a free Valentines-themed doughnut! What could be better than getting free postgraduate advice while enjoying a sugary pink treat?
On Wednesday 28 February, we headed to Northeastern University for our Postgrad LIVE London, where we gave away £100 bursaries to five lucky attendees.
We ended on a high with our final fair in the University of Edinburgh on Wednesday 6 March. At 483 attendees, this event attracted almost double our targeted number of students and saw our highest conversion rate of the season!

90% of our exhibitors said they would attend Postgrad LIVE again next year! Here’s what some of them had to say:
This was the best event of the year so far for us in terms of serious interest in Lancaster Uni. The location was amazing – easy to get to, not echoey so easy to talk to students and lots of room around the stands. The food was great and the ambassadors from the uni helpful. The FAU staff are always amazing and such nice people – you always know everything is going to run smoothly with a FAU event.

For Keele, this was the best event we have attended with regards to the quantity and quality of visitors. There was a good mix of students interested in PGT and PGR study, which there hasn't been so much of at some of the other events. Overall, Postgrad LIVE Manchester was a great event, in a great location, with the opportunity to engage with lots of prospective students. I would definitely book a Manchester event again!

We had a great start to the year with our Postgrad LIVE events across February and March! With 5,829 registrants and 1,993 prospective students attendees across Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, London & Edinburgh, we've given our exhibitors plenty of opportunities to show off their universities and the programmes they have to offer. We're currently in the process of evaluating feedback to make the remainder of our 2024/25 events better than ever before!
